Sarah (Pratibha) Holland is a Certified Yoga Siromani and has been teaching Yoga at the Community Centre in Forest Row since Spring 1998. She draws her inspiration from many Yoga Traditions and special people. Her own journey started with a family 'baby sitter' who was a Yoga teacher and Sarah attended her classes for many years. On one of her visits to the States Michael Tierra took Sarah to the Mount Madonna Centre. During that time she had a personal consultation with Baba Hari Dass. Through Jyotish Astrology he gave Sarah her Sanskrit name Pratibha and empowered her to move forwards on her own Yogic path.

In 1997 Sarah completed her first Teacher Training with the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Organisation. In 1999 Sarah undertook Yoga & Pregnancy module with the Yoga for Health Foundation and in 2001 the BWY module Teaching Yoga to Children with Swami Vedantananda.

In 2004 she undertook her Advanced Teacher Training with Yoga Master Erich Schiffmann. She has also studied Meditation with Peter Glover of the Himalayan Institute and been very inspired by the Bihar School of Yoga. Sarah's Facial Yoga programme was developed through her Yoga practice and undertaking Facial Fitness with Eva Fraser.

Sarah commenced her studies with Shiva Rea in 2011 through the Samudra Global School for Living Yoga and is a Prana VinyasaÒ Teacher. She continues to study with Shiva Rea & Erich Schiffmann.

In 2014 Sarah commenced studying the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda with the Self Realization Fellowship. She has been initiated into the Kriya Yoga Technique and is now a Kriyaban.

Sarah has more recently been enjoying both workshops and online study with Jason Crandell, who is often described as the 'next generation of Yoga Teachers'.

Yoga is a 'Way of Life'. Sarah's personal approach to Yoga is eclectic. She draws upon and embraces 'life as energy, we are all energy', which moves with ebbs and flow through seasons, cycles, lunar and solar rhythms with the potency, the underlying pulse, heartbeat that connects us all . Reflecting, harmonizing, balancing both the world within ourselves and Nature. As individuals we express this energy through our Yoga practice, drawing upon what we need in that moment...........Dancing with our own pulse and rhythm of life.

Her style of Yoga today blends Hatha Yoga with a creative, fun Vinyasa flow. Why Yoga?

Her teaching philosophy is making skills taught accessible to everyone and imparting knowledge so that people can bring practices into their every day lives. Maintaining good health is of prime importance to positive well being today.

Sarah is a qualified Herbalist, Food & Nutritional Therapist. She completed her professional training in Planetary Herbalism with Dr Michael and Lesley Tierra in 1995 with the East West College of Herbalism and an Advanced Nutrition Intensive with the Institute of Optimum Nutrition taught by Patrick Holford and Kate O'Neill in 1990.

Sarah was the Director of Studies for the East West College of Herbalism through the decade of the 90's. During this time the College administered Dr David Frawley's Ayurvedic Healing Course in the UK.

Formerly catering trained at Westminster College in 1974 and teacher trained through Garnett College in 1987 Sarah has spent many years teaching, primarily in Special Needs. Whilst working with Social Services Intermediate Treatment in 1984 Sarah completed the Silva Method of Mind Control.

Her practice philosophy is sharing and exploring positive ways with both diet and lifestyle, making simple changes to nourish body, mind and soul, which in turn has such a major impact on how one feels in everyday life.

Sarah brings many aspects from her 'eclectic' background into her Classes and teaching.

In 2017 Sarah qualified in Pilates Mat Teacher Training level 1 & 11 with P.T.T.I.
