Our food choices are so important and yet what we eat does not always reflect optimum health and wellbeing. There is simply no one diet for life. Food choices are an extension of ourselves and reflect our way of life.

There are so many different reasons why we need to make dietary changes to restore balance; at times of stress, low energy, yeast/bacterial/parasitic infections, PMS, high blood pressure/cholesterol, weight loss as a few examples. We also need to embrace constitutional types, age, the cycles and seasons of life, our own body rhythms and lifestyle.

In my practice the most common underlying causes I see to many complaints are blood sugar imbalances, GI infections, and food sensitivities and intolerances, which need to be addressed to restore balance and enable one to feel well. To support this being able to relax thus releasing stress and tensions, taking some regular exercise and breathing well are all important in the healing process.

My Personal Approach to Food Therapy

I treat each client and case individually and my approach to making dietary changes is gradual, the body needs time to adapt and one needs to start incorporating change into daily life.

I do not prescribe set diets, we work from the premise of existing eating patterns. We discuss the necessity for making changes and explore foods, their therapeutic qualities, recipes, cooking methods, the overall balance of putting foods together and how to put these ideas into action. Making dietary changes can have such a major impact in all aspects of our lives. Tests, nutritional supplementation and herbs are used where appropriate.

I like to support all my clients through this process and am very happy to respond to queries via email or telephone.

Prior to the initial consultation I like to have a completed food diary for a period of two weeks and a short case study, which we expand upon when we meet. The initial consultation takes about 1½ hours. We have follow up sessions as required to monitor progress.

Consultations usually take place in the home of the client.

Fee for the initial consultation is £75 for 1½ hour. Thereafter the minimum fee is £50 for up to 1 hour and then pro rata £50 if additional time is required.

If you would like to discuss a consultation please give me a call.

Please note 24 hours notice of cancellation is appreciated for Personal, Small Group Tuition, Facial Yoga Programme & Food & Nutritional Therapy, otherwise the full fee will be payable
