Pregnant women are very welcome to join

classes at 14 weeks

Yoga is an excellent practice for both

mum to be and baby ~

 physically, emotionally and spiritually

Physically, Yoga helps to keep the body strong and flexible at a time when one is contending hormonal changes and weight gain. Postures help to relieve problems such as fatigue, backache, digestive imbalances, all of which may be experienced at some stage during pregnancy.

Breathing exercises are powerful allies during labour and delivery. Good breathing habits strengthen the nervous and endocrine systems, both important  for a healthy pregnancy and birth. The breath also calms and focus' the mind and is there for us to use at all times.

Emotionally Yoga helps us to release tension, allowing our innate intuition and inner strength to come through. Relaxation and meditation practices enable us to feel more relaxed, centred and renewed.

Giving birth can be an exhilarating, yet exhausting experience. It can also give rise to strong emotional and spiritual experiences. When you feel ready Yoga can give you much needed support at this time.

Initially Yoga helps us to regain strength, particularly in the pelvic/abdominal region, gently toning the body. Breath and relaxation calms and soothes the mind, relaxes the whole body. Give yourself some quality time each day, enjoy your Yoga practice, however short and simple and see the benefits reflecting in your everyday life.

Personal Tuition is very popular with pregnant women. An individual programme is put together for regular practice and adjusted as required. This can be undertaken in your own home, gives flexibility with time and for as many sessions as required.
