'Yoga classes for me are a vital part of my life. Not only do they stretch, create flexibility and strength, but they help create a way of life that is more harmonious and more in touch with the essence of who I am.’

Pamela Hurwitz

Dear Friends,

Namaskaram!

What I love about teaching Yoga is being with like minded Yogis and Yoginis, you keep the 'spark' alight for which I am always so grateful. The joy of classes is they are always fluid, never the same, forever changing with our own energies and rhythms, the flow of life, sometimes gentler and quieter, other times more dynamic and active, sometimes just meandering.................each class gives a different experience.

Whether or not you believe that Yoga can transform your life, it will happen. All you have to do is make room in your life for some time  on your mat. Yoga is a moving meditation entwined with the breath, a dance of strength, balance and grace that draws the heart and the mind into one.

My classes are fun and creative with a gentle vinyasa flow, inspired through my trainings and teachers Erich Schiffmann, Shiva Rea and Paramahansa Yogananda.

Classes are ongoing, can be joined at any time during the term. Come and enjoy one today! I look forward to meeting you.

Love,

Sarah x

'I sum it up as follows:- To stay supple, feel energized and keep myself fit and well. You have, without doubt shown me how to do many exercises which keep my neck comfortable and can be done on a regular basis - Essential in my case as I work with a screen.
I do a lot of cycling and when I get home I can counteract my riding position by practicing "the camel" pose amongst others. It's wonderful.
Finally I can find some calm in the practices, which are so important in our busy lives. I certainly could not live without yoga - I look forward to the classes every week.'

My classes are well rounded embracing a sequence of creative rhythmic flow commencing with 'Centering' through relaxation and breathing. 'Openings' with a gentle warm up of mini postures and progressively building to a 'Main Theme' before slowly winding down again, finishing with a breathing practice, relaxation or sitting quietly.

Namaskar ~ Devotion in motion

Namaskar is a ritual offering in the form of a synchronized sequence of postures with breath that can be offered to the Sun, (Surya Namaskar) Moon, (Chandra Namaskar), Earth (Bhumi Namaskar) and many more.

 Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa in essence is every cycle of life from the micro pulse and cellular pulse that emerges and dissolves in seconds, to the vinyasa of our inhale of 'receiving new life' and exhale of 'letting go', to the awakening of every morning to when we retire and all of the mini cycles that pervade the vinyasa of the day, week, lunar / solar cycles, our life from conception to when our body dissolves

Every cycle in Nature is a vinyasa, like a seed that unfolds with a natural intelligence or a wave which rises, crests and releases on the shore. All of nature follows this inherent movement progression or cycle that encompasses a beginning, middle and end.

From this view point the interrelated meaning of vinyasa is revealed as a sequence, a cycle, a wave and as a flow. vinyasa is an evolutionary flow ~ Shiva Rea

"I feel energised and at peace with myself after a yoga lesson. Even, if I am feeling tired and stressed before a lesson. My favourite things are relaxing, dog and bridge."

'I reached a time in life where I needed a gentler form of exercise, non aerobic and decided to try Yoga. I found it to be therapeutic and relaxing. I have a shoulder injury and working it at Yoga relaxes the tension in the muscles. I look forward to the company during our Yoga sessions too.’

I live a very busy life juggling work, children and family commitments and like many others in my position, find it very difficult to really relax. I came across Sarah Holland 7 years ago and found her yoga classes to be uplifting, fun, relaxing and rewarding.
Sarah inspired me to introduce yoga into my life on a regular basis and it is a commitment that brings much enjoyment and relaxation on a mental, physical and spiritual level and brings balance and harmony into my life.
Sarah is a lovely person who possesses a wealth of knowledge on many health related subjects, is always available to help in whatever way she can and is discreet and professional in every aspect of her work.’
